Amber is made from fossilized tree resin and can sometimes contain small insects and animals. The majority of Amber comes from the Baltic region and washes up onto its shores. It ranges between 35 to 50 million years old. Used in jewellery and talismans as far back as the Stone Age, it was so highly valued by the Vikings, who called it Baltic gold, that they used it as a currency similar in value to actual gold.

Amber is believed to be a natural purifier and healer, drawing out pain and negative energies from the body and transforming them into clear positive energy. It stimulates the body’s own mechanisms to heal itself and increases vitality and aids tissue regeneration. It is known to bring good luck and is a highly protective stone, especially for children.

As a love crystal, Amber is believed to be a good-luck talisman for increasing natural radiance and attracting lasting love.

Amber is associated with the sun and therefore the horoscope stone for Leo.

Lodolite is a type of Quartz with unique inclusions usually consisting of Chlorite, Feldspar and other materials. They can appear in various colours like green, brown, orange, white, pink, or purple. No lodolite stone is ever the same. Often it has the look of gardens, landscapes, or underwater scenes. Lodolite is also known as Shaman Quartz, Seer Quartz, Garden quartz, Landscape Quartz and other names.

The name Lodolite comes from the Spanish “lodo” meaning mud or sludge. Lodolite is mostly found in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Lodolite is formed when there is a lull in growth and other materials and dust settle onto the quartz before it carries on growing. When the quartz is cut and polished it creates a magnifying effect of the inclusions creating the beautiful patterns we find in Lodolite.

Lodolite is known as protection stone, especially against negative energies. It’s a great stone to assist with meditation and stimulates lucid dreaming. It helps release fear and influences one to get in touch with their emotions.

Dendritic Quartz is part of the Agate family. It is termed “dendritic” due to its internal collection of dendrites. Dendrites are fern-like inclusions of iron, manganese or other metallic oxides.

Dendritic quartz is thought to create a peaceful environment and encourages the enjoyment of each moment. It deepens your connection to the earth and helps to maintain equilibrium in a period when one’s life path presents a tangled mass of possibilities. It facilitates clear thinking and spiritual guidance and enables the wearer to understand complex situations and to choose the one path forward which will be for the best and highest good for all concerned.

Lemon Quartz, also known as Oro Verde Quartz, is a beautiful green-gold-lemon coloured quartz. It is very rare to find natural Lemon Quartz and most of what is on the market is clear quartz that has been heat treated. The practice of heat-treating stone is common in the gemmological industry and it does not compromise the value of the resulting coloured stone. It is still a natural gemstone.

Lemon Quartz is a stone of good luck and fortune. It is thought to help maintain direction, overcome obstacles, bring optimism and help to think clearly and quickly. It is a stone that carries a high vibration and helps to ease the cravings for food or nicotine.

Tiger’s Eye is the birthstone for Gemini and the gem stone for the ninth wedding anniversary.

Tiger’s Eye is a member of the quartz group of chalcedonies. It exhibits a changeable silky lustre as light is reflected within the thin parallel fibrous bands. This effect is due to the fibrous structure of the material.

Tiger’s Eye was first discovered in South Africa in the early 1800s. The main source of Tiger’s Eye is South Africa, from the Northern Cape Province. Other less important sources include Nambia, Australia, India, USA, Canada and Thailand.

Traditionally it was carried as an amulet against curses and ill-wishes. It was also believed to protect the wearer when going on long journeys.

Nowadays it is thought to enhance creativity and helps in decision making. It is also believed to balance the brain and may be of benefit to those suffering of mental illness or personality disorders. It is thought to aid through difficult times and helps enhance your strength when needed.

Citrine is the horoscope stone for Virgo.

Most Citrine is mined in Brazil but can be found all over the world. The name citrine comes from an old French word "citrin," meaning lemon.

According to Chinese legends, citrine is "The Stone of Success," and it should be given to generous people only. Ancient Chinese emperors wore Citrine as they believed it would increase intellectual capabilities and broaden the mind. Today, citrine is used by modern Chinese students to help them succeed on exams. Many Chinese professors and teachers also use it when lecturing.

Citrine is said to bring wealth and abundance. Its properties are also linked to creativity and is said to enhance mental clarity and activate imagination. It carries the power of the sun and is an exceedingly beneficial stone.

Agate is a common rock formation that primarily consists of cryptocrystalline Silica (mostly Chalcedony) alternating with micro granular Quartz. It was given its name by Greek Philosopher Theophrastus, who discovered the stone along the river Achates (now known as the Dirillo) in Sicily, sometime between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC.

Like other black minerals, Black Agate is a stone of protection and strength. It connects with the Root Chakra, making it a very grounding stone that keeps the body connected to the Earths energies to aid in soothing emotions, alleviating feelings of stress and worry, reducing fears and anxieties and instilling sense of peace.

It is also seen as the ‘stone of change’ and those aforementioned properties, along with its aid in promoting self love, inner strength and calm, make it a perfect stone to accompany you during hard times and when you embark on new beginnings.

Druzy is the name for the small Quartz crystal formations that grow, oftentimes, in the hollow cavity of Agate geodes, and this Druzy Quartz also aids in eliminating stresses and anxiety, and balances the emotions.
