This ring features a double band, closed at the back and open at the front, with a flat bar of silver running vertically at the front of the ring. A small round faceted moonstone then sits at the top (or bottom) of the silver bar. Extremely comfortable, this ring sits completely flat to the finger making it ideal for everyday wear.

Moonstone is the most valuable stone from the feldspar group. A billowy blue colour becomes visible when the stone is rotated in front of a light source. This effect, called adularescence, is caused by the intergrowth of another feldspar in oriented positions within the main mass of the moonstone. Common locations where moonstone deposits can be found include Sri Lanka, Brazil, Madagascar, India, Germany, Tanzania, Mexico, Australia, and the United States. The rarest forms come from Sri Lanka.
